my review of ps2chiper's dongle ^_^ (work in progress!) –

And for those who are curious what it looks like its like this

Okay so i received my dongle from ps2chiper from china
(thanks for letting me review it!)
Lets start with the installation,
i plugged it in as per all the tutorials (it was pre flashed)
Then i turned off the switch in the back of the ps3 and turned it back on and hit the eject button a few times and it worked! (nice!)
The led's don't work as of yet ( i think ps2chiper is working on the hex fix for this)
I then installed the backup manager and ftp server for the ps3,
proceeded to install resident evil 5 the install took around 25 to 30 mins
(as expected)
I then ejected the re5 disc and inserted gta4 to test if it would work without the re5 disc and opened backup manager then selected re5 and it booted up!
The load times were noticeably better than if it was running off a disc,
i would say the load times were decreased around 65-70%
so it was pretty fast ^_^
I don't have many ps3 games to test (unless someone wants to donate sum ^_^)
as i get more games i will test more,
As for programming just download amtel's flip software connect the dongle to your pc
then press the reset button,
then install the drivers from here
(you may or may not need these drivers i have a x64 system so i needed them)
http://www.avrfreaks.net/index.php?m...ewFile&id=3842
after you've finished with that load the hex file by clicking the icon that says load hex file and load this file into it,
http://psx-scene.com/forums/attachme...1&d=1284505586 (leds aren't working at the moment)
Then click run on the leftmost column it will then flash and verify the install,
And that's it you should have a fully working jailbreak dongle ^_^
So there's my small review if anyone wants to know anything let me know ^_^
you may order one from here
http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=65395 (Teensy / Bumble Bee hybrid USB dev kit for $5 (USD))
He's currently working hard putting these together by hand.

Thanks for taking the time to inform us about your experience with the device, mine, although a different dongle, is already on its way so I'll be enjoying fast loading times pretty soon too :P.
