Looks liek a solid easy made PS3 Dongle (but not really that easy to build than it looks like)
Price could be lower as there are much competitors at the market right now from China who sell such Dongles for less than 10 US$
But one thing is a big Pro - It's open source based and you know what you will get ;)
I'd like to see detailed Pics from PCB (Layout) as I also made a similar Dongle by myself based on teensy 1.0 but with 2nd LED for better staus recognition (similar to PS³Yes!)
Very Interresting would be the switch circuit ;)
Following Specs are not a big advantage for now but maybe for future purposes...
32KB self-programming Flash Program Memory,
1024-byte SRAM,
1024-byte EEPROM.
AT90USB162 do the Same but with the half and also for half the price - that's the reason why I choose this Chipset for my Dongle ;)
That's mine:

AsbestOS still requires a key with => 64k of flash, right?
Although it'd be nice not to have to plug my n900 to my ps3 every time I think I'd want the extra space a higher-end board offers.
Do the same people who make these offer larger boards at all?

Great job guy, fully support your hard working.
From the day I jailbreak my PS3, psgroove was become a daily must visit site.
Hope all the best to you.

I must say that I appreciate the level of detail that has gone into the research to finding alternatives to hard to find products for the PS Groove project. It seems that each piece of hardware before is harder to find as it becomes noticed by the public. As noted by some other posters this site is a wealth of information as a whole and one of the better places for condensed yet informative PS3 projects.
I have been interested in some of the other options available such as the Minimus but will probably hold out to hear how this piece of hardware works. Again, thanks for doing all the legwork and making this project so simple.

Thank you for your review.
Nice dress for this usb key ;)

I've been using a similar chip to this except it has the smaller usb connection same as the psp and it's a little wider although i did get it through e bay from a store in north america. It's name is mini noogroove and is a atmega32u2 chip, it's compatible with multiple hex files and i've been using it for about a month problem free.
