I highly doubt that there will be any hacks on 1.42+ unless sony makes another hole in some future firmware, you guys with 1.42+ just buy some hackable ps3 before its too late, i expect shortage of PS3s with fw 3.41- in the near future

Right, it is most likely that he "hole" in <= 3.41 has been closed for good.
It does not mean there are no other exploit holes, but they may need
a totally different exploit (probably never..)

Well, if the rumours with regards to the PSJB Team & leaked master keys is true, it may not be too long before 3.42+ is hacked.

Otherwise the only real avenue that will take us forward may be CFW

IMO it ain't gonna happen, at least not until we all have PS4s
better off trying to trade your buddy for one with an older firmware or selling yours and getting one before it's too late

Well, the system is open @ layer 2. So basically it's just a matter of time & experience until the first ones start to realise what is really going on in this OS.

14 Days ago it wasn't possible to install retail pkg or boot 3.42 games. Look what we have now: 3.42 games booting without interaction and you can download/install directly from PSN.

Don't be so impatient. The system is cracked, Sony has no chance. That's why they are so aggressive ^^ They already know, that they lost the war :-P

I'm no fancy mathematician but I do know the 4.0 is a different number from 4.2h.

ps3key site lists 4.0 as the latest silabs fw.
