4.2 is in internal testing now

new is "host auto detect" feature what will make the
insert and remove un-necessary, after installing 4.2 update
bootloader is automatically activated if the device is plugged into PC.
it just takes a couple of seconds.
Feature is available for PS3Key/AVRKey and PS3Key-Silabs
Silabs version had this already, now the time is made shorter
Also "bad USB device" should not appear on PC any more -
PS3 mode processing is aborted as soon PC is detected as host.

there is no release date set, there are some other features being
implemented and in testing as well.

3.15 has been tested on key products, there is a FAT 3.15 kept for testing in the testlab asfaik, the issue with 3.15 is that all want hermes-latest and that is only for 3.41, so to please all, there is a better update build system required, what is being setup up also. So yes, 3.15 and some other versions will be offered as well.

P.S. saying the "auto update mode entry" is useless, well for testing and changing the firmware, it's really nice sure it is not required and does not add any new function but it makes the use (updates) more easy.

@keys : this sounds good but what are the "other features being
implemented and in testing" ? Can you guys tell us more about what's more to come compared to what the public has today ?
Are you guys working on trying to find why the usual payload makes CoD MW1 & 2 crash and some other games ? Hopefully, you guys are actually working on some new stuff and won't disappoint us like the PSJailbreak team !

    Thanks

Nice to hear that the PS3key team are working on improving the their firmware.
Progress updates such as this are very important for users.

Is the PS3Key Team working on a solution for FW3.42+ or is that never going to happen?
