Can the Silabs Chip use the *.hex Files or is ~that only for the Atmel Chip~ versions?
I think I can learn to live without the Team PS3Keys Support (or lack thereof)...

Neither uses Hexes. Silabs uses .bin and Atmel uses .upd
Yeah you can (or could), use the "open.hex" which would kill off all ~furture support~ LMFAO from the PS3Key Team. Sadly however I fear that was only for those with an Atmel Chip though.
But, I'd like to get some confermation first...
Wrong. "open.hex" is for AVRKey which uses Atmel's FLIP software. PS3Key does not recognize .hex files. It only recognizes .upd for ATMEL versions since it uses their own updater program and .bin for Silabs which is a drag and drop.
PS3Key has said that you can overwrite their bootloader and load .hex files and lose all future PS3Key support but has NEVER told us how.
Thanks for the heads up that was more or less what I wanted to know... :(
