just read the instruction on the ps3key.com site... when you register your stick there, it'll tell you if you have atmel or silabs
ATMEL - Uses PS3Key Update Application with their own .upd files
Silabs - Drag and drop process with their .bin files.
As stated, if you click on "Your PS3Keys" at the top, it will tell you which version you have when you enter your serial number.
If you took the time to look on their site, your answer is there... http://www.ps3key.com/en/support/faq/
How to I know if my PS3Key is Atmel-based on Siliconlabs-based?
Applies to: PS3Key
After you have registered your PS3Key on ps3key.com, you will see the wording "(Atmel-based)" or "(Silabs-based)" after the serial number in the serial numbers list on the download page, or by clicking on the "My PS3Keys" link at the top of the website when you are logged in.
How do I get PS3Key into bootloader mode in order to update it?
Applies to: PS3Key
This procedure is different depending on whether you have an Atmel-based PS3Key or a Silabs-based PS3Key:
Atmel-based:
Connect and disconnect PS3Key to a USB port on your PC 3 times within 10 seconds. Then both LEDs (blue and red) will then come on at the same time. The Update button in the software will no longer be disabled and you will be able to click it to apply the update.
Silabs-based:
Connect PS3Key to a USB port on your computer and wait for 15-30 seconds. Both LEDs will come on, and PS3Key will appear as a USB memory stick. You will be able to apply the update by dragging and dropping the update FIRMWARE.BIN onto the memory stick.
My pc will just not reckonized it as a usb stick, it says "new hardware found" and driver successfully installed.. but i cant see any devices..
Then you have a Atmel
