Correct me if I'm wrong, but this "PSKey V2 update" is merely all the latest scene releases:

*Peek/Poke commands, psgroove - update from Mathieuh.
*Play backups without original disc - Hermes fork
*Backup Manager 2 - Dude from Eltoraldo.

So IMO these ps3key guys are just exploiting the hard work of the homebrew devs who are doing it for the love.

Bit harsh? Maybe, but it's pretty lame these guys are making money out of stuff they haven't really done much to develop....

You don't need to crack anything to install Groove on it, it is easily flashable in Flip.

What did you expected ? Would you reinvent the wheel if you could just use stable software with good and needed features ?
Apart from that, the whole thing woudln't even exist if the original Team behind the first Jailbreak wouldn't exist ... so the bascially stole already stolen software and put into cloned hardware xD So from the development point of view they shouldn't get any credit Lets see what their Backup Loader has to offer when it releases

Is there anybody who succeded in doing so ? Afaik everyone who tried end up in erros or "Device not connected" messages.

can somebody PM me the updater exe? i feel like taking a look through with IDA... it was posted on ps3news, but I got banned from there for one stupid reason

I'm not sure why PS3Key bothered with the serial number verification to be honest since they knew that people would just share the file once they had it anyway.

All this will really do is reduce traffic on their site.
