PS3Key + PSGroove = ???

Has anybody been able to successfully flash PSGroove onto their PS3Key yet..??
Whats the procedure for doing it if its even possible..??
Or is the PS3Key only gunna work with PS3Key proprietary soft/firmware..??

It can be done with the official ones, I think you insert/eject it into a PC 3 times within 10 seconds which sends it into DFU and then flash it as a 162 in Flip.

I've contacted my source at PS3Key as they sent me a review sample and I asked them about the bootloader and hex files.

"Yes, it's loaded with an encrypted bootloader. You can erase it and install something else, but then you would not be able to put PS3Key code back onto it again."

However, it was not stated as to how to erase it or any other information was provided.

I personally would not flash it with PSGroove. Thats what Teensy and all other dev boards are for at a cheaper price. PS3Key are from WiiKey team so their support will be top notch and up to date when available. You flash the PS3Key with PSGroove, you lose all support and can not be reinstalled.

I would be cautious about wiping the PS3Key code since you can't back it up first, for obvious reasons.

Isn't there Something like an AVRKey as well?...it looks basically the same and is actually meant for beeing flashed the way you want it ... some say its even a PS3Key Team product.

Dont know if AVRKey is from the PS3Key as it was not mentioned to me or offered. But the AVRKey's main focus could be for PSGroove where as PS3Key is proprietary files. However, the AVRKey.com website looks like someone built it in 2 mins. It looks nothing like PS3Key.com

The AVRKey was being sold at PSGroove.com and I purchased one a few days ago. Still waiting for it in the mail. Apparently it looks exactly like the PS3Key but I haven't been able to find a download for it.

I guess the PS3Key was being sold as an AVRKey, meaning its a PS3Key, but just without the jailbreak because Sony was suing everyone.

eh.. I dont know if I want to open it up. Doesn't that involve bending the metal casing?

if not, then I'll gladly do it. I just don't know when I'm getting it. PSGRoove.com said they'd be shipping "this week", but I haven't gotten any email or tracking number.
