Ok so i got the ps3key and i tried powering + ejecting and it lit up blue. I loaded the backup manager onto a usb stick but there is no option to install anything under the "game" tab! My chip guy said it works with the old proprietary software from psjailbreak because they forgot to close the loophole and i can't seem to find instructions on how to install the manager other than dumping it onto the usb with no folders.

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Scroll up a bit further on the XMB and you should see an option to 'Install Packages'.
Select this and your Backup Manager package should appear. Select it and install.

Erm.. and all that stuff the guy above me said.

Plus here's a guide with screenies for you to follow: http://www.solidblogger.com/how-to-j...playstation-3/

Nah his problem is maybe linked to his usb stick try another one or try putting the manager.pkg in the root of your external hdd.

Select install package by using triangle and install with the cross button.

(another thing sometimes backupmanager pkg are bad so try to find another one and install it)
and if this don't work use the procedure of post 2.

I'm on 3.41 and I tried two different usb sticks to no avails. What is HEXING the ps3key? how do I do that? I was never told to do that. Just to run the chip, put the manager.pkg in the root of the usb device and install it...

Guys I updated the firmware on it to the latest version and the way i understand it the option to install the pkg files should show up regardless of whether my usb stick with the backup manager is plugged in meaning that once its blue it should give me that option! Well it boots up and its blue but under games I have no such option.

I am running 3.41 and I haven't done anything other than follow the instructions that are the same everywhere.

    What do I do?
