ps3key not working properly

Most of the times when i connect to ps3 or pc it just blinks once the red light and does nothing ... And when it does a proper jailbraking it turns of after 1 or 2 minutes i dont know waths the problem with it ... I have read that we can reset the ps3 key but can't andersand the process to do so can anyone help ???

depends of your ps3key version
if atmel use the ps3key updated and update to version 4.0
if silabs just copy and paste
i suggest you to update software first

its a atmel based chip but i cant go on update mode ... i tried several times but with no result ....

I'm going to try this. I flashed to firmware 4.5 tonight and my PS3Key has not worked since. I downgraded to 4.3 and it still dont' work....I'll try 4.0 now

EDIT: just reflashed to FW 4.0 and got my PS3Key working again.

if atmel chipset
just insert in out 4/5 times if led become blue it enter update mode
if cannot you got a defective ps3key
and there are many around!
we replaced at least 30 pc of atmel ps3key
contact your vendor

there is a problem with a batch of ps3key's that does (or rather doesnt do) do what you are saying. putting it in update mode is very simple, and if you cannot do it. then maybe ur key is one of the few that had this issue. when u open your update prog, insert/take out dongle repeatedly (4 times) and it should let you update. to tell you the truth, when i update mine, i get 3 reds and finally a "blue" since it has the blue cover i can never tell if both lights are on, but i know i can update cuz it will let me.

u dont use ur dongle to install pkg files, u use a separate USB flash drive after u have JB'd your ps3. or what i mean is, you cant upload pkg files to ur ps3key. thats what the flash drive is for.

1. Jb ps3 with ps3key
2. browse "game" and use install packages to install pkg files on ur flash drive
