PS3Key Not doing as suppose to!

Hi Forum!

Ok lets get down to the nitty gritty.

I have a ps3key, and had it for some time. upgraded to 3.42, before it was released! and then i brought the usb! didnt work, so it has been gathering dust!

So the other day when 3.50 was released. i thought F**K it lets upgrade it.

Then i stumbled across google news saying its able to jailbreak 3.42 and 3.50.

So now im here ps3key in hand, waiting to upgrade and jailbreak..

i updated the usb device, and plugged into my ps3, (slim - 120gb - FW 3.50)
and both lights glow, (looks like a blue, but its both LEDS) but the option on the ps3 doesnt show!

What am i doing wrong? or is it even possible?

Any advice i would love! seeing as you guys know more about this stuff than me!

if you are on 3.50, you cant jailbreak it. Unless, you buy the psJAILBREAk... they are the only ones (as of now) who can bring the ps3 back to 3.41 and then you will be able to jailbreak it with any dongle you like.

aahhhh i knew i shouldnt of upgraded from 3.41.

So, at the moment i either have to wait, until the ole' knock offs are able to jailbreak 3.50, or pay alot of money to jailbreak the 3.50. and then downgrade?

It's unlikely that 3.42, 3.50 or any firmware after this is going to be exploited any time soon, so don't hold your breath for that. Your options at the moment are to either:

1. Buy a PSJailbreak 'downgrader', which will take your PS3 back to 3.41
2. Wait until the scene releases its own free version of the 'downgrader'
3. Buy a second hand PS3 with 3.41 firmware

i think the cheaper option would be to buy the downgrader! i mean, i dont want to buy it unless its my last resort.

i have heard it does work from some people, and not for others!

and is there any update with psfreedom and iphone 4?

Sell youor ps3.... and buy another new one.. most of them are still on 3.41 I think
