PS3Key firmware 4.5 released Disscussion

please use this thread for your discussion on the new released firmware 4.5 of the ps3key.

by the way has anyone downloaded it an tryed it out? has it got any problems?

works just like 4.0, but the led is wrong like the psn upgrade hex

yea works great, and shows the 3.55 spoof

but the led stays red, even though the install package and app_home show up

but it doesn't bother me that it is red, as long as it works

has anyone played any of the new games that require the fm 3.50 and above and do they work off the jailbreak

occasionally this firmware fails to put the ps3 into jailbreak mode and this also occurred in the previous firmware. The only stable firmware is 4.0. However, I am curious if this firmware has the Hermes v4b payload in it.

actually something weird happened to me.
I activated the dongle on the website with the serial and it said it was an ATMEL-Based chip. After minutes of trying to get the stick into the update mode, I just let it in the usb port and voila it opened a window as a "removable-device". So, actually my PS3Key is SILABS-Based but on the website it clearly say "ATMEL-Based" (:

there were a few games that required 3.50 just to start, but not really to run. IE not coded with the 3.5. I wonder if I'll be able to get two worlds II to work under this.

Well i have upgraded to FW 4.5 and just tried splaterhouse and i still get a black screen on startup, so hasnt help fix games that require the newest system menu, so whats the point of this release?

The point of this release is just too spoof to 3.55, so the update won't show on your PS3.

we just tried to upgrade a virgin silabs-based key with regular 4.5 update from official site, it won´t work for us.

after that we took a regular 4.3 from official site too & that one works like a charm. :crazy:
