PS3Key - Announces Downgrade!

who wants a downgrader anymore anyways... now that there is a rumor that we might be able to hack 3.50.... That'S what we want. Then, all the game that require 3.50 will be playable. Even if sony releases another patch 3.51 or whatever... all the new games have been printed in 3.50 so that's what we want.

I think people need to take a chill pill and relax for a moment. Let's look at what's happened (so far) today:

1. E3 announces and then releases their downgrade firmware. *CONFIRMED*
2. Sony Master Key has been found, to be released in 24 hours. *UNCONFIRMED*
3. X3Max announce a 3.50 jailbreak. *CONFIRMED*
4. EBOOT.BIN files < 3.41 have been decrypted by Graf_Chokolo. *CONFIRMED*

Now. Take a deep breath, and take a look at that list. We already have three of the four confirmed - it will only be a matter of time until most - if not all - dongles will be capable of at the very least, downgrading.

The best case scenario is of course that your PS3Key will be capable of downgrading, upgrading and jailbreaking 3.50 with full access to PSN. If the other two rumours are confirmed in the coming days, the chances of this happening will jump dramatically. One thing is certain though - PS3Key will be supporting downgrades. We just don't know when or how much it will cost.

Relax. It's been a busy few hours, no? Give it a few days, go play some Oblivion or something - all will be revealed... honest.

and now these guys. There is obviously an open source version or the keys or w/e circulating in certain circles. Or are some of these dongle providers just the same people under different names?

One thing is for sure. 5 dongle providers supporting the downgrade method. But still no open source version. WTF?!

Apparently it was true when some people claimed they knew how it worked but weren't going to release anything. At least not for free.

Please read my other post's correctly next time you quote me.

I said that i don't mind paying for tool's for the job (dev boards & such) but when people start selling FW (bunch of 0's & 1's) that's what i dont like. Silly move on they're part really because its only going to make people want to crack it & make it open source for everyone (the way it should be IMO).

Sorry, have to pull you up there.. It costs me €0.00 to flash my DVD drive (compatible chipset) and costs me about €3.00 to Jtag an Xbox.

I get DL DVDs that work everytime (not one bad burn in 60+) for €0.50c each!

So far Jailbreaking has cost me nothing, just using my old Nano ipod! I spent €160 for all my PS3's of which I've 4.

Things are easily done cheap/free is my point..
