PS3Key with 4 USB Port extender for slims

Has anyone else tried to run the PS3Key along with the 4 Port extender that slots in the front of the PS3 Slims (to turn 2 USB ports into 4)?
I bought one as I was hoping to utilise the spare ports for Move and charging the controller however the PS3Key does not seem to get recognised when the extender is installed. It seems to go through the flashing sequence fine but does not jailbreak (no install package file option). When I remove the extender it works fine again. I am using - v4.0 firmware not that it should make a difference.

My basic understanding is that all these dongles including the ps3key trick the ps3 into thinking there are 4 usb devices connected at once to and not one - hense why you have to remove all other usb devices.

I guess you adding the usb hub conflicts with what the ps3key is trying to accomplish - thus you problem.

hi, i am waiting for one with a card reader and 3 usb ports,

if it is what you say then my solution would be, first jailbreak him without the usbhub, then remove the ps3key ( its still jailbroken then , only needed again after a restart of the console, or with a crash).
Then put the usb hub back, its not the way because then you dont need the 3de port, you have 2 empty, one for the cam and one for the external.

maybe one for a joystick, i will see, i hate the usb ports of a ps3 console, always problems finding it.
