Well that's the thing, if you get the ps3key you are tied into only using their firmware, which at current does not use herm3.

If you got an AvrKey as you said, or any other development board. You could load onto it whatever latest stuff you wanted too.

Not exactly true. You can load on unofficial FW's but you'll lose compatibility with their own FW's, meaning you'll have to stick to PSFreedom etc. I have two PS3Keys, so i will be doing that to one of them, as they are taking their sweet time to create a new kernel with Hermes.

Mambx, you may try

As much as support says use flip/correct drivers and wipe it so you flash it yourself, you wont get your system to recognise.

Untill someone does do it, it seems the ps3key is strictly ps3key only.

Got my ps3key today from addict supplies, spot on service and price. recommend highly to anyone else looking to purchase.
