Read readme (its meant to be read "read me" so you should read it, it is trying to say that)
Read about pluggin in and out 4 times... read about "red+blue light at same time"...
use xp sp2 compatibility mode on win7
    be happy

Yes, i read the read me, but the problme isn't that. When i plug it, it turns on the red+blue light in the first time, but i open PS3Key Updater, and load the update file, and the 'Update Now' button stills inop.

Try leaving it for a few moments and see if it does anything.
Chances are that you may have a Silabs Chip, which does not have to and can not be just jacked in and out.

If you do have a Silabs Chip you'll just have to delete the FIRMWARE.BIN File and replace Version 4 Firmware.bin File from ps3.key.com

my god, that is really toooo trouble. It will make me headache and crazy. Fortunately i bought another Jailbreak device(PS3Speed),just as it say, very simple and easy for users to upgrade,no need PS3 booting-disc. There are only three steps to complete upgrade.

here i am showing you some pics in the attachments.

for more information, you can visit their website: ps3speed.com
on the website, you can easily download the lastest firmware.

You must pay attention to the first light that comes up, it only remains that color for about one second and both blue and red light comes up afterwards; this means it isn't in "update mode." Keep plugging it in and out several times, and pay close attention to the first light that comes up, if it is red, then continue this procedure. Eventually, the red + blue light comes up instead of the red light when you plug it in. I hope this helped.

A scheduled update will include "auto host detection" so there will be no more need to unplug or look any lights, just plugging into PC will be sufficient, within about 10 seconds the AVRKey will enumarate as DFU compatible FLIP updatable dongle.

Same for PS3Key, it will go into update mode automatically.

Silabs version will just auto connect faster (it already has auto function from the first release)

    k
