which cfw to use?

I keep hearing people say dongles are dead and to use cfw but which one are you guys using? I would love to try the cfw but don't want to brick my ps3 and still want to be able to play my current backups saved on my system. I honestly don't mind using the dongle just as long as they keep updating it when new firmware appears.

I would say that you start to read as there is a lot of info and mixed opinions.

If you don't want to risk and be afraid of bricking your PS3.
Which is understandable, don't do it.

Do your research and decided which route is best for you.

ive tried all of them and so far kmeaw is the best imo,all my games work without no modded eboots etc and online too.but as the guy above said,do some reading

Thanks guys I think I'm gonna try the kmeaw cfw, I just have one more question. Will the backups I already have saved on my ps3 internally still work/be there if I install the kmeaw cfw? If not how do I transfer my backups from my internal to a external hd. I really hope there isn't a new update for MVC3 in 2 weeks.

kmeaw works great and apparently with the latest multiman it will run everything including split/second/modern warfare. Your bluray playback is also uneffected by kmeaw.

No need to transfer anything, your backups will still be there when u upgrade.

I'm still on 3.41 at the moment. I'm considering going to 3.55 cfw but last I remember most games don't work discless. My drive is busted. Does anyone know if discless 3.55 cfw has gotten any better yet?
