Beat the clones! Check if your PS3Key is genuine!

Here is an update From the PS3key Team..

"A number of people have contacted us to say that they've bought
a PS3Key that doesn't have an Atmel chip inside it. These people
are, quite rightly, worried that this will make it impossible to
update their PS3Key.

To save you the trouble of removing the PCB from the metal casing
to check whether or not your PS3Key is genuine, you can check
your serial number through the website using our handy little
Validation Tool at http://www.ps3key.com/en/validate/. You can
even register your serial number to your PS3Key account, locking
it so that nobody can steal it from you, ensuring you have access
to software downloads when they become available.

If your PS3Key did not come with a yellow barcode/serial number
sticker, then please contact the place you bought it from
immediately!

Thank you for staying loyal to the PS3Key brand -- you will not
regret it!

I got mine few days ago from local shop, got the yellow sticker as well.

Serial/key were accepted at PS3Key site.

****ing love this, they essentially cloned another group's device who subsequently took at least part of that device from Sony and are now complaining about people cloning their clone of a clone.

In my very humble opinion, anybody on here who opted for one of those devices over a programmable OS board is a fool anyway. Groove will be the scene standard for these devices (possibly in alignment with the official PSJB dependant upon how that one pans out) and every poster on here knows that those boards exist and can be found in most major territories without too much difficulty.

No... Their problem is that someone cloned their clone, but shipped with a PIC instead of a reflasheable ATMEL chip.

Then, they get complains from a product they didn't produce! Now, that's annoying

They shouldn't have muscled in on another team's turf then really.

The PS3Key team have more experience with clones than virtually any other currently group since the Wiikey was cloned to death. Let's not forget that they are a modchip manufacturer at the end of the day though at the end of the day, all modchips are unofficial.

i ordered mines from chipspain and i didnt recieve a yellow sticker and they told me they would send it over email to me...wierd or what!!!

I'm not defending who cloned who, however, PS3Key is not selling a clone. Is selling a device with ATMEL chip that can be used to flash with PSGroove. I know PSGroove basically cloned PSJailbreak, but at least, is free.
