I've order mine yesterday... Although I contacted them to make sure they had stock available, I believe I'm only going to receive after Thursday restock... hopefully, it will have the sticker... I HOPE! :)

is there anything makes ps3key worth buying.

In my very humble opinion, anybody on here who opted for one of those devices over a programmable OS board is a fool anyway. I don't mean to flame or be negative, but modchip central for one that I know of has already stated that the PS3/AVRKey board comes blank and can in fact be flashed with PSGroove or whatever. It is essentially a DEV board. Just has a housing. Again, just wondering how that makes us who bought a PS3Key fools?

Can you flash it with a standard Groove hex?

EDIT: Just read the above posts and it looks as though this one was my mistake, I didn't realise that this mod was basically just a Groove compatible Atmel dev board.

I'm not clear on what the difference is between the two products -- PS3Key comes with PSGroove preloaded and AVRKey does not? Anyone care to elaborate?

I think most if not all of them will come blank. For legal reasons. There is nothing criminal whatsoever (at least where I live) with shipping a blank board. What you do with it in your own living space is another matter entirely. Shipping bare protects the seller as they cannot control or predict what you do with it once the device is in your possession.

ps3-chips.com, which also reviewed the ps3key, wrote this:
"An improvement on the original PSJailbreak design is the option to update the firmware of the PS3Key from a PC to make it bypass later firmware updates from Sony. "

don't know if it's true, because i don't have mine yet, but if it's true it's at least something that sets this apart from the countless ps jailbreak clones.

...and as mentioned by you, they are working on their own backup manager, which is going to support the latest ps3 firmware and ntfs support.

reviewers of the ps3key, wrote that it came pre-flashed, guess some shops listed on their site, will have the choice between an "empty" one and a pre-flashed version, but they are all pre-flashed for now.

Does anyone by now know what controller they used for his clone? I mean how many kb flash it has.
