True blue dongle games suddenly freezing..
True blue dongle games suddenly freezing.. –
Ive bought a true blue dongle a month ago.
My problem is when i play games from external HD, the game freezes after some time of playing.
When im playing a game like assassins creed or final fantasy the game loads everything up, then im playing around a bit.
And after a while if i didnt get the hdd to load because im just shitting with the game and dont do any quests, the game freezes.
The external hdd light is still burning but i cant press any buttons since the game is frozen.
Only thing i can do is press the ps button then restart the game.
It happens also if im just leaving the game on and go to do something else and when im back the game is frozen.
Is it something like the external hdd is going standby or something??
I have a Verbatim 2tb external HD with usb 3.0 support. (But if it was a external hdd problem then the 3.55 games should do the same)
This only happens to True blue patched games.
I hope somebody can help me solve this so i can enjoy playing again.
Shutting down the system every 30 to 60 mins is annoying and im losing my progress of the game.
i had the same problem with my 2tb hdd it was the hdd shutting off but its not just true blue games you could try re formating with fat32 formater but i bought a new hdd and had no problem with my new one but check a round first and see if anyone else has got any ideas and try a different hdd or usb thumb drive if they work you know whats up
the problem you're having is with your external hard drive having a power save feature. If it's not accessed for a while it's shutting off. It has nothing to do with reformatting the drive. Contact the manufacturer and see if the power save feature can be turned off through a setting or a firmware update for the drive
Thanks guys for your reply's and sorry for my late answer (but thats because im moving to a new place)
Ive tested again with an usb thumb drive and there was no problem. Think it's actually the external hdd thats going standby.
That's weird because the light from the external hdd isnt shutting off. But i hear a sound from the hdd that its starting to spin when it's going out of standby.
Do you think there is some firmware flash for the (verbatim 2tb ext hdd Model no: 47659) thats preventing it to stop spinning the drive?
Ive looked up but only thing i found was a piece of software called green button that only prevents it in windows.
Some help would be appriciated..
could just be its economy mode...is there a physical switch there???
