Trainers for PS3 Games?
Trainers for PS3 Games? –
Hi Everyone, first off I wanna say hello to you all, my first post here so wanted to try and make it a good 1.
Years ago when PS2 HDD hacking was a popular scene I developed a way of using action replay / gameshark cheat discs on games stored on the hdd (google chevyuk, about half way down page 1) and was thinking with all this PS3 usb mod stuff, will PS3 Trainers / Patches be the next thing? Don't get me wrong I hate cheating on games, at least until I've completed it a few times and want to have a laugh, eg infinite health on gta could be decent for an hour or so.
I've not got any code knowledge and all of that would be out of my league but hoping to get enough support for new development on this.
Hi again and thanks for having me
i was talking to a mate about this the other day. The wii has a cheat system i wonder if anyone will add one for the PS3. The PS3 obiously runs diffrently to Wii but sure it could probably be done.

don't get me wrong, I LOVE cheating on games when playing trough them a second time, or modifieing stuff i don't like (eg camera distance for viking).
But untill this day, if you got killed so many times, u would know you are dealing with an experienced player, but soon, this will become "OMG u cheater, OMG u used an aimbot..."
Ah well... Let's see wath you can bring us, if u can make an app to create codes for the games, I'm willing to help making some codes . I have a bit of experience on the NDS.
(can't help on making the app itself, i'm no coder.)
OMG - I have yet to see a PS3 game that you would need to cheat on!
FFS Gamers are just absolute cack these days.
"Trainers" - I have heard it all now. Try having a game of Project X on the Amiga - Now that DOES need a trainer.
cheats can SEVERLY increase the lifetime of a game, for me, the 6 papers worth of cheats game called "GTA: san andreas" kicked absolute ass purely due to it's extensive cheatlist

1: I never ever game online. I come from the oldschool where multiplayer means split screen on 1 TV
2: I am really really really ****ing horrible at games and it upsets me. I have beat only 2 games on my PS3 yet I have purchased 12 titles in the 2 years i owned the thing.
I would love to play thru all the games (laugh all you want here) but some of us are not as co-ordinated as everyone else. Why should i have to waste money to only get to level 2 or 3 of most of my games..
I got the WII for this sole reason to be honest... So i can finish games

I am working on hacking save games, but now i am at the same problem with a trainer. Without a debugging PS3 you cant access the memory of a running game from outside or inside the box. As long as you cant do that there will be no trainer (Cheat System). I guess if it is possible it will come. At least with CFW it will be possible.
modifieing game files is easy so far tough, and I'm guesiing u could do some cheating on those.
for example: on viking I already managed to modifie my camera distance, increase the health and power i get from pickups, and even activated a buggy not implented in the final game imortality pickup.
so things can be done already, at least till we get CFW
Yeah for sure you can edit not encrypted files. But you cant search and modify a running game memory and can't encrypt game saves without the key which is in the ****in' memory. Or you could decrypt the Eboot.bin and disassemble it, but that is not possible at the moment. Couldn't find infos for that. Sure you can edit res datas but that is not a global working solution.
This is what i'm talking about! I'm hoping this becomes popular
