Ah what a bummer, guess its down to Argos today.....
Thanks Sabin
both games are playable from internal, look this thread for AC1
http://psx-scene.com/forums/f187/ass...26/index8.html (Assassins Creed 1 Backup working ! Plus theory about black screen games)
split/second also works with a fix like this, and im gonna try to do it for wwe all stars since it has the same issue.
Bleh. That package method is hideous, I'm astounded ANYONE is considering it worth doing, given the price of large external drives these days. It's too damned limited and, since it's based around EBOOT modifications, you're locked of updating your games (unless you get lucky and find a debug update)
Though GNkyrios is right; if you're absolutely dead-set on running it from internal, you're going to have to do a lot of work, but it's possible to run the stock version without an external drive. I advise against it though.
well it works doesnt it? not everyone wants to buy an external drive just to play some games.
you know what the select+X does right?
No, not everyone wants to buy an external drive - but when the alternative to playing a game properly, with no issues and no faffing about with copying/shadowing/modifying, and given how you can have up to 2TB on external, then I don't understand the reticence when it comes to buying external drives. This PKG method is clunky and counter-intuitive. Why jump through so many hoops when you can simply load it from a USB drive and play without ANY hassle? But, that's just my opinion.
As for select-x (aka: BD-ROM Mirror) I dare say I know better than you do![]()

Well thanks again for the help fella's, both games are now up and running on external with select - x.
Didn't fancy the alternative method it's all double dutch and scares the shit out of me!
