saving my mortal kombat game

so i bought my first game for play station three, its mortal kombat. i dont know much about games anymore i last played on a sega genesis. i was playing the team ladder with my wife and we cant seem to figure out how to save the game when we play. if you could help me i would appreciate it. horrah for old people

The game auto-saves, so you don't have to do anything to save it at all. Granted, it won't save your game in the middle of the ladder; if you turn of the game then come back, you'll have to start at the beginning of the ladder again. But if you beat the game with someone, it will automatically save that info. A lot of ps3 games have the auto-save feature.
