Same Save, different Region?

Is it possible to modify a ps3 savegame and make it work for the same game of different region, the way we could do this on psx/ps2?

For example if i want to use a ff13 jpn save on the ff13 us version.

I'm not sure if you can use different saved game regions try to ftp it and see.

Using FTP Program browse to a saved game already created that you want to overwrite (/dev_hdd0/home/0000????/savedata). Get the saved game you downloaded from the web and upload/overwrite all files except PARAM.SFO, don't overwrite your PARAM.SFO it has your psn info in it.

No you cant use a different region Game Save on a Different Region Game.

Like BLUS Wont work with BLES game save.

Why is that? Is there any infromation inside the files that prevents the loading? Cant something be done, like this new utility that allows saves from different users and consoles to be used?

At least i was able to convert a save from Resident Evil 5, to RE5:Gold edition with the ps3saveunlocker utility. Now that's something.

EDIT: What if i use the System File Editor to set the specific title id of the save for the version i intend to use? Now that sounds like something plausible...

You would have to change several thing's in the SFO and your savedata location would have to be changed in the SFO and in your PS3. Even if all the proper steps where used the game would probably find it as corrupted still.

Maybe at the moment this cant be done, but it seems if the savefiles are studied more thoroughly this conversion should be made possible..

Yesterday i tried it with yakuza3 save...
Different region, like my save data yakuza at region us n i mod it with gamefaq save region japan.
I can load it but gamefaq savedata was for make new premium save data n i didnt try to play it.
Maybe tomorrow i ll try it n make news in here...

I've been searching for a way to change my Mass Effect 2 save from BLES to BLUS so I can transfer it when Mass Effect 3 comes out but to no avail. Hope someone comes up with something.

I used the PS3SaveUnlocker to use a EU DAO ultimate edition save to the us version.
