Pulling my hair out...
Pulling my hair out... –

Hi all.
Hoping someone can help me, I'm pulling hair out with one error.
I have a psn game as pkg and it's been extracted.
Taking the eboot.bin, i extract the elf. (unself eboot.bin eboot.self) <do caps make a difference?>
I didn't change anything with the hex editor because it's a psn hard drive game anyway.
I then went made the new eboot.bin (make_self_npdrm.exe eboot.elf EBOOT.BIN UP0001-NPUA80068_00-0000111122223333)
I then made the conf file, the folder and copied everything over.
Opened the param.SFO and made sure it was on HG
Gone back to cygwin and typed psn_package_npdrm NPUA80068.conf NPUA80068.
I've then. Done package_finalize.exe UP0001-NPUA80068_00-0000111122223333.pkg
Package then installs fine and the game shows on the xmb fine.
I then ftp everything over from the USRDIR except the eboot.bin.
Gone to the game on the xmb and then i get error ending in 19 which i believe means the package isn't signed.
Any ideas? Not got a clue. Should i open the eboot.bin in a hex editor to check anything? Halp
Thanks in advance.

follow this guide [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cLptY-MFFUM]YouTube - PS3 3.55-geohot EBOOT patching and packaging TUTORIAL[/ame]
and download his tools when u do and have everything set up delete the make_self_npdrm FILE NOT EXE FILE from the cygwin bin folder and you should be good (he doesnt mention it but that file does need to go in order for anything to work)

He does nothing that i dnt do. I have 2 theories now. It's either a) i need to delete the make_self_npdrm file or b) I am missing some keys.
Would i be missing some by default?

Just download the demo of stardust hd and install it you will have the same result even if you sign the debug eboot. Enjoy the demo.

Do you need different keys when doing PSN games as opposed to other games?
