Well never mind that apparently this method does not work for new vegas
Also I need some help here I used Tim3888's supplied "INSTALLEDDLC" folder
it is in hdd0//game/blus30007/usrdir
and in GAMES/blus30007/usrdir
and The Alternate start mod is not working at all
Direct boot with latest multiman 1.16.00
Have I done something wrong?
You have to use a eboot direct boot like we people did before backup managers worked on 3.55 cfw direct boot on managers wont work try the direct eboot way that worked for me
Oh ok, that is probably what my problem is.

I have the 6.7gb FCOM pack and was wondering if the .omod files can be used with the PS3 version or if they need to be converted in order to work? Also will most of the mods in the FCOM pack work on PS3 anyway?
Textures can't be loaded so FCOM won't work out unless you like seeing untextured models. As for omods, no it wont' load them. Anything that is contained in a omod would have to be extracted.

Well damn! I wanted to get a 100 to 200 hour playthrough of Oblivion before Skyrim comes out later this year & my laptop wouldn't be able to play it with the crappy ati mobile xpress 1200 chip that is in it. Oblivion without mods though is not my idea of fun. Well not anywhere near as much anyway. Thanks for the info though.
Maybe I'm missing something here, but I'm running kmeaw 3.55 cfw and have been unable to get the mods to work despite putting them in the right spots and I checked them against Tim's and while some of them are different mods I set it all up the same, although I did continue my game instead of starting a new one. I have no earthly idea how to play a game off the hard drive with out using multiman to mount it first (then exiting to xmb and starting the game) Call me lazy, blind, or a n00b if you wish I probably deserve it haha.
Some of the mods I'm trying to use involve items, if one mod doesn't work does that affect the ones that would have worked if it wasn't there?
Also when I looked at the file names in the tutorial (BLUS300007) and compared it to the name of the file I got I noticed mine said BLUS300087, I renamed the files to match what the tutorial said it should be, but this one is supposed to be GOTY edition, multiman show's it as the origional, but I got the notice about the shivering isles while playing through the first hour of gameplay, has anyone else noticed this and could this be why I can't get any mod to work? Or am I missing something more basic than that? Thanks in advance...
Skittr are you using a direct boot using a the direct eboot method
I must agree with skittr. I am fairly new to this scene and as such I don't understand what you mean by direct booting the eboot.
Do you mean re-signing it, or is there a tool that will execute an eboot directly (AKA a file manager) or are you referring to the direct boot method that is integrated into MultiMan?
I've fooled around with plenty of eboots on my old PSP, but I fear this is a little beyond my knowledge level. A quick search of the site only shows direct boot compatability lists. Can you give me a starting point? I don't mind doing the legwork but I am lost here.
