Modding dragon age origins

It seems a few of you have had some success modding Drage Age: Origins on the PS3. I'm actually only interested in one mod to install the Ceremonial Armored Gloves in my inventory (preferably, in all game saves), since it doesn't exist in Origins.

I am very new to modding, the toolset, etc. so can someone please provide a simple explanation as to how I would go about doing this for this one mod? Also, do I need to jailbreak my PS3 in order to do it (I assume I do)? My current firmware is 4.1, so I don't think I'll be able to jailbreak it right now, unless I can downgrade the firmware somehow (I have a 60 GB PS3 phat).

Any advice at all would be very much appreciated. Thank you so much!
