    I saw a nice work with the MK9 assets.
    The MK vs DC U is almost the same game in file structure.
    It has it's PS3toc and UE3 setting txt in CONFIG so I ask if some of you modders who have the tools to make a mod to unlock Dark Kahn as a playable or at least swapable with a character.

    Can you make so?

    I already tried changing file names but no luck.
    It does not work with any character.
    So that is why I ask some who has the ability to make such a mod.

    Having unplayable characters in a FIGHTING GAME is something annoying.

    hey,i did try to get dark kahn playable,but guess what? never worked.
    i tried to hack the character select screen so that one of the characters,in this case superman,redirects to dark kahn,but nothing.
    the best bet is to use ps3usercheat,but it's trial and error for me so far.

    Hello Buddy I was happy to see a dev response.

    I am a mod developer
    Invented the GameShark - Spider-Net Modding Engine.

    I created the Tekken Azazel and Nancy Mods for the PSP System I did many other mods for PSP.
    However here I am very limited I can't even use User Cheat as it is for 3.55 CFW.

    Yes I also tried to replace Kahn with some of the playable chars and no it stucks at the loading screen.
    Remember MKSM for PS2.
    Shao Kahn in Shaolin Monks can be playable on the emulator but not on the real Console.
    I tried all possible solutions, Value fixes, jokkers, no no luck on PS2 Console.
    However the NPC did work on PCSX2 emu for PC.

    hey man,you are welcome,but that's not what i meant,what i meant was redirecting the char selected via the character select screen without modifying the xxx char files(btw,i did try to replace char_superman xxx with dark kahn,but yeah,no luck) but it's impossible because the startup contains that info,but it needs to be decompressed and it always gives me an error when i try to decompress it(no matter what tools i try) mk9 however,is possible to do such a thing(though npcs will be unselectable through the character select screen for some reason) since the startup can be decompressed.
    i might get back to MK VS DC,the game is quite moddable,sure,not to the extent of MK9,but a good chunk of it is moddable,though currently im working with DNF.
    one things3usercheat could fix this issue for us,but i have no idea what are the addresses for the p1/p2 character modifier,and nobody cared to do a char modifier for 360 either,so it's impossible to tell what are the addresses without trial and error(at least,to my limited knowledge of ps3usercheat,that's what i suppose,but i could be mistaken.)

    If there was a way to dump.

    BTW.

    Most character values are the same as the order of the names included in the ps3 toc file.


    How do you make Memory Dump on ps3 is that possible here?
    My FW is 4.30 Rogero and I can't use any hacking tools wish I had User Cheat running.



    Yes If we are able to make Kahn Playable that would be a hit .

    we need several memory dumps and a proper tool to search for a difference.

    Values of the characters (If Game does not have DMA) should be found this way.
    And these should not be more than 8 bits

    I am not familiar with the PS3 MK engine,
    I am quite familiar with the PSP and PS2 MK games engines.
    I created a mod for MK Armageddon that adds new game modes,
    expands the Kreate-A-Fighter mode (you can put any move on any slot) as well as adding several new features.

    All of that is using my Spider-Net Engine.

    However I am quite limited with the PS3 console.
    Maybe we should wait if a cheat device homebrew for rogero arrives.
    I don't want to risk my games not running just for the sake of user cheat.

    you did some MK armageddon mods? cool!
    can you leave some links so that i can check them out?
    ok back to topic: from what i remember,the character values in mk9 arent numbers but rather their name(for instance,char_scorpion,npc_classicreptile,etc.)
    im not surprised if MK VS DC shares the same engine,and thanks for explaining that,now i understand: it helps to find which address is the one that controls the char modifier,keeping in mind i have a dex ps3,i'll see what i can do later.

    Marvel games likes X Men Legends use names for modifiers.
