Installing "kmeaw" BM CFW PKG file via internal drive

Anyone know if this method ( http://psx-scene.com/forums/f180/%5B...via-ftp-65965/ ([Tut] How to install PKG files via FTP) ) can be used to install the new "kmeaw" Backup Manager CFW Patch without having to use a USB drive ?
