Had the same problem ... and this in my Internal HD, what is the alternative?
Could someone please upload the original eboot.bin for Hawx 2? I modified mine trying to get it to run as a package and lost my original.
hi tombolombo heres the bin hope you can make it work on external or anybody
I had multiple problems when I tried to install HAWX 2, but that might be because I am pretty much a noob to console hacking, and this is the first game that I ever tried installing to my PS3 HDD.
I have a 60gb fatty with the Kmeaw 3.55 CFW and MultiMAN 1.15.03.
I used FTP (FlashFXP 3.0) to send the whole game over.
Problem #1 turned out to be an issue with the paths for a number of files being too long. I had many (211, I think) files give errors and not transfer the first go-around. I had to temporarily shorten up the path on the PS3 by renaming folders to shorter names.
Example: I initially copied the whole game (which consisted of the folders "PS3_GAME" and "PS3_UPDATE" and the file PS3_DISC.SFB) to a folder I had created, with the path "/dev_hdd0/GAMES/_BLUS30488-[HAWX2]". All the files that had errored had come from deep within the "PS3_GAME" folder, so I shortened the path for it from the above to "/dev_hdd0/G/H/P". I them tracked down all the files that errored and transferred them again, and it worked!
After changing the folder names back to normal, I tried to run the game and got an error: "You cannot launch split games!". After some research, I tried renaming the folder I created for the game from "_BLUS30488-[HAWX2]" to "BLUS30488-[HAWX2]" (I removed the underscore from the beginning of the folder name) and it stopped giving me this error.
The last problem I had with HAWX 2 was a strange "No Pack" error that appeared when I tried to run the game again. Some more research told me to delete the "PS3_UPDATE" folder from the HDD, and after doing that, the game finally ran its install and worked!
I hope this helps someone somehow.
