Fallout 3 .bsa Modding
Hey Guys, I recently figured out how to load .ESM and .ESP mods in F03 relatively easy, and you can get mods off of the F03 dedicated modding site.
But what I want to do is go further into modding .BSA files which are Bethesda File Archives, I can extract them and repack them with the help of FallOut Mod Manager but I can't seem to get the game working when I add a file into the .BSA, I can't be doing anything that bad. The problem I seem to run into is that the game will load, but will load only sounds, I can hear the menu playing, with the music but I can't see anything but a black screen.
This is the mod I'm trying to add, I've tried both options,
1 - Add the files to the DATA/ which would be the DW.ESP DW.ESM and the Textures folder.
2 - Unpack FALLOUT - TEXTURES.BSA and add the file 'DWLightCloudsUpper.dds' to the textures/sky directory in the .BSA, then Repack and upload back into DATA/
I experience some very annoying results with both though.
With 1 - I get the Video, I can see the menu, it loads but where the main menu sounds should happen, there is no sound, and where I am supposed to press start, nothing comes up and I cannot do anything but look at pretty posters.
With 2 - I get the Audio, can't see any video and also can't press start or use my controls.
I can quit the game by pressing the HOME button though, so no crashes.
