Dead or Alive 5 Photo Mode!
Dead or Alive 5 Photo Mode! –

Hi there, everyone! Though I'm pretty much new here, I want to see if I can make a request.
I'm wondering would it be possible to edit the saved photos in Dead or Alive 5 in order to actually view them on the PC? I've heard that the save files on the Playstation 3 is really encrypted so it'll be hard to figure out..but, you guys seem really, really good at those things...
For those that don't know, there's a photo mode in Dead or Alive 5 that allows you to take pictures. However, when you save the pictures, it doesn't save as a JPEG and it actually saves as s Save File, so you can't do anything with it other than view it in the game itself. This makes it really hard to share pictures with your friends as you can't send them to each other.
The 360 version already has a way to convert the screenshots, however it isn't the case here for the Playstation 3 version. I'm wondering is anyone willing to take the task to figure this out?
If anyone needs it, I can link you to one of my save files, though it's saved just for me as a user so I don't know if it'll be too helpful.

Nice, I have the 360 version, but hadn't noticed that feature. I was worried you where not going to be able to share pics.
Also, it seems like the took the replay away. That used to be one of my favorite things. I'd save a replay, and then when my friend would come over to visit we would watch me kicking his ass or vica versa.

Well actually you can still save replay, you just save them after you win a fight. That's how your able to take pictures actually, by using the replay (or CPU vs CPU match). Now this is good for the 360 version though, because there's a way to share the pictures for the 360 version, but not the PS3 version.

I was looking to save the replay for the online matches vs my friends. But I haven't seen the option. It's been a couple of weeks since I have played it, so maybe there is a new update that I missed. I'll definitely look a little harder next time. Like I said, it was one of my favorite features of DOA4. I miss Itagaki and team

Oh, you meant online matches...nnn, I don't think there is an option there...I do know the option is there in offline matches.
I really hope there's a way to do this, or maybe they can patch it...

Me too. The team admitted this project was rushed, which is something Itagaki would have never allowed to happen if he was still around.
But chances are, they will work on the next title in the franchise instead of working on fixing and adding to this one. But I hope not.
I got two copies or DOA 4, 1.0 and 1.1. The old creators really cared about the gamers... I hope this new team can add some of that to the mix.

Oh yeah, that's true, the old leader never would have released a game if it wasn't finished to perfection...I had forgotten about that...actually, now that I think of it, I wonder would he have had put DLC in the game. He probably would have preferred if the game was as completed as it is.

Yeah, I think so too. He put DLC in XBV2, but only for those who wanted faster access to what could be unlocked with time and effort. I don't know how much, but I think it was pretty expensive if you wanted to buy all the costumes for all the girls. Rumble Roses XX was like that too. I forget which one, but for the whole DLC collection it was a couple hundred bucks I believe.
I am interested to see what Itagaki and his Valhalla Studies can do. So for they are only working on a 3rd person shooter game.
It is a shame such great games have lost the person/team who made them great. Same thing happened with Infinity Ward and COD... It's just not the same quality without the same leaders.
DOA5 is good, it's just not better than DOA4... and I don't know if they will be able to make DOA6 finally better. We can only hope. They say they are listening to the fans... So I suppose it is up to people like us.
