Alright, not sure WHERE this belongs exactly (PS3 game modding, Tech development, or even XBOX forums...?) but I just got a used copy of Dance Dance Revolution for the PS3 (gay i know, lol) but it didn't include the dance pad.

I still have my xbox1 dance pad, and thats just usb with a proprietary plug...

Could i just splice a usb plug onto the cord and the ps3 will read it as a usb controller? I've done it for reg. xbox controllers before and needed a driver for PC, would the ps3 have the same problem?

Any suggestions or ideas?

I believe a driver would need to be developed and implemented into a custom firmware, because the dance pad has it's own control board which would have firmware specific to the xbox console. Which at this time (as far as I know) isn't occuring.

Tis what I figured... but wasn't sure due to all the (mostly) crappy adapters available for sale to convert xbox controllers -> ps3.

Considering I don't have my modded Halo xbox anymore, guess I'll just have to get out the electrical tape and wire strippers and see what I can ca-jigger up! haha
