Problem with filling the wiki, actually there are pretty much less than 5 peoples doing it, and about SFO/SFX structures...yep, everyone can have a look but to get the ones missing or working can be a pain, testing for hours. So if someone like Sandungas (with reasons) don t post there anymore...it s real lost.
About videos, it work as same as this structure you included in this pkg, you watch the video from the second disc icon (that you probably already know but if i remembered, the files on the wiki for make them working needed one little adjust) but what you said (i was just thinking about general videos but your ideas as specifics videos for videos games such as walkthroughs is really nice)
I was more thinking about theme: one blueray structure (like what you did here) with pkg containing .p3t ( and to make it even more fun, each p3t contain dfferents dynamic theme around same game)
At the end, it like what you did: user can install differents pkg to add on theirs games. When booting the game they got something similars as it s described on the wiki, with second blueray icons with fews themes of the game.
I m not sure about something related to update, when you install your cheat pkg, they are like update of the game?
About videos, you got brilliant idea, can be also bonus videos of the game (sound a bit weirdo to got the same video twice but in that way you don t need to launch the game) or even about ps3 hack tutorials.
If we got the structures related to pictures working, it can be similars with walkthroughs
I'm actually a little annoyed about the pictures being used as walkthroughs. I've converted a few PDF strategy guides to JPG format and have them on my PS3 and load them through the built in picture viewer. The problem is you can't look at it while you're in the game. You have to save your game, exit to the xmb, find the info you need about where you're stuck at, then boot the game back up. It's a little bit of a pain in the ass. I can't imagine that the picture viewer takes that much memory to where you can't load in-game. You'd just have to find out how to disable getting kicked back to the xmb. Something to look in to. It would be really cool to just add your strategy guide to your game backup so you have it for easy access when playing. It needs work though
The disc I made here, I disabled the first disc icon (the game launch). I did that because I didn't have an eboot for it and didn't want a bunch of complaints about an icon that gave an error message and kicking you back out the xmb. The menu on this disc is the second menu. In the PARAM.SFO, I just changed it to Install PKG files from Disc Game.
Most of the cheat pkg here are game updates or they make an icon in the xmb games category that you use to launch your disc backup. If you're asking about what I was talking about updating the contents of the discs, I meant that when an updated pkg is released, the pkg could be renamed to DATA000.PKG and just dropped in the right folder. If you edit the PARAM.SFX in the same folder then you can keep track of what version it is. As for new content, you just have to make a new folder with a higher number than what you've used so far and drop your new DATA000.PKG, a PARAM.SFX and an ICON2.PNG in and you've got new content. As long as you keep track of the original file structure updates could be maintained pretty easily
Ok, it s more clear for me now, (i dll your pkg but it was just for check the SFO/SFx, should have check more, sorry for the questions)
So if i understand right, somes games cheat pkg are updates, somes are eboot fix? (to appear on xmb)
i was thinking about something a bit different for theme but will tell you when i test more.
You did a nice move about the first disc icon, i even didn t think about it. But when you launch other game than your pkg, your previous ICON still remain?
About pictures in games... still no luck after one test, but i ll try more playing with attribut on SFO. A little joke: picture is still visible in game, not as full screen but if you have a large tv and your .png is butchered...and your guide s 500 pages, it can do the work.
More seriously, there are a kind of pdf viewer in game, but for the moment it can only used with ps1/ minis games. Wiki got a little info about it:
Talk:Eboot.PBP - PS3 Development Wiki
If you got behind the limitations of it, it can be really usefull. It s not impossible and a great challenge.
The part about removing the disc icon is a little buggy. When you boot this backup fresh, the disc icon won't appear. If you boot it after another disc from multiman, the placeholder for the disc will appear but the icon doesn't like it's supposed to. It's just left over from the last backup boot. If you boot another disc after booting this cheat backup disc, then there will be a placeholder for the 2nd menu. Unless multiman starts doing the full BD redirection reset every time a game backup is loaded, it's gonna be a little buggy. If you run the redirection tool it will correct the ghost icon problem.
This is a pretty simple setup and a lot more can be done for themes/videos and other items than what I've done here. This was a proof of concept so I could get some help with some artwork for future discs. When you look at it I'd love to hear your ideas
Please update the wiki page SFO about what you did for the disc, because i need fews times to read in general to understand ( even when it well explained) and it ll be more easy to find theses infos for everyone ( also ... Sandungas can notice and give somes helps/ideas)
I will test your pkg to make sure i understand but i experimented also something a bit buggy with PIC (white background loaded from PS3, not from my things) it didn t really intrigue me because i was not directly interested by bluerays structures (was about attribut on SFO). I need to learn a little more about them.
About walkthrough in game, i think the best way will be from document.dat
i can help a little but less or more everything for start is on the wiki (if you got something working paid attention to the readers, they can stole your ideas )
If you try anything around, start your tests with manual from minis within HDD game.
The first part about structures folder around EBOOT.PBP saying it s incomplete, it s not about manual directly so don t paid attention about that.
Not related to document.dat, before i forget, you can also make a special pkg with eboot patch (from trueblue, duplex or anything) it can be something nice for end users.
About having eboot.bin really nice to manipulate for tests (a kind of forced boot and 100 ko only so however your sfo is weirdo, the eboot will still be launched in most of the cases), you can use the Deroad SFO TEST tool (link at the end of the param.sfo page on wiki)
Thank you Chanel
I wrote a long message explaining few hints to play with this but the forum keeps giving me an error that i cant post links, even where i removed all them, weird
You need to have 30 posts to remove the limitations. Try removing any extra characters like : / / @, etc that might be seen as html code or add spaces after you use them. I'd really like to see what you think

I really did consider splitting by region, but if my hard drive is like anybody else's than I have an equal number of games from NTSC and PAL regions. If I was going to download an NTSC cheat disc, I'd still need to download the PAL cheat disc. It wouldn't be hard for me to split it like that if that's something you think people would like better. Also check your messages. If you guys want to post this there then I'm ok with that. Also let me know if I forgot anything
