It's not that big of a deal, it only takes a few seconds to get through it. I find it funny though that the JAP consoles have O to confirm and X to cancel... there's not really any reason to this that I can think of, so I'm not sure why they made it like that.

You do know that Sony is a Japanese company and therefore the original layout was O confirm & x to cancel.

Honestly, that's inconsequential. The gist of my comment was that I can't understand the reason for switching it between regions - it's the most random thing.

on the irc channel says (sms=bugfixing) can someone upload the cpk that already have modification at this far??? ... now are weeks of the release of catherine usa version and theres no significative progreess besides the rapunzel fix...

can someone on this proyect give any clue .. about how long does it will take to fixing the sms???

yeah they have always had it that way. If u ever played MGS1-3, it has always been like that. They do it for the same reason they use chopsticks...they just like it that way.

You have to mod yourself! go to pg 60 and look at tims post, why do u keep asking for a 3 GB file that no one is going to post?!

Seriously dude, read page 60, the whole process is super easy. Took me like 7 minutes.

Page 60 still doesn't explain whether or not the SMS messages work properly, or are understandable after you go through that process. Would someone who has gone through the whole process on page 60 PLEASE just let us know if you can play the game from start to finish, with everything important (rope stuff, sms etc, I know the babel shit doesn't work, but is that it?) having understandable english subtitles? So without anyone flaming me for posting this, or referring me to page 60, could you just let me know, I would appreciate it IMMENSELY! Thanks in advance =)

ok for the hundreth time, the japanese eboot will crash the game if u try to use the english sms text files, apparently the japanese text files are much smaller in size and the japanese eboot will not accept if they are too big, thats why the us version crashes on level2 when u try to just use japanese eboot. so until they figure out how to modify the eboot, u get japanese SMS...you know u could just go buy the game and update ur ps3 if u dont like japanese sms and yes the game is playable and understandable start to end...the few japanese sms texts arent killing the game for me, some of the texts are in english too because someone manually abbreviated them for u guys but not all of them could be so be happy with what we got.

just do the frickin process it takes literally 5 minutes and only requires you know how to copy+paste. I could teach my dog how to mod the files, all i would have to do is rub a hot dog on ctrl, the letter c and the letter v and my dog could mod this file, stop thinking and just go do it

I have a question tho. I am playing on normal difficulty with the us version as base but it looks like this is the japanese normal difficulty. I cannot undo my moves using select and the pillows give only one life. Is that because I am using the japanese eboot? I have almost finished the game so it's not a big deal, I am just wondering. Sorry if this question has already been answered before.
