Can't transfer GT5 save game files

hey all, up until recently my son and i have been playing gt5 on one ps3 (we each have our own accounts). I just got a second ps3 and want to transfer his game file over but when I got to copy his save file it says it's "copying of this saved data is not allowed". Is there any way to transfer the save file over? it would suck balls having to restart everything. Oddly enough I can copy over other save games - just not this one.

I'd appreciate any tips - thanks

UPDATE
I just found out if i update my gt5 to 1.05 it allows you to backup your gt5 save file. I'm going to try this out and see if it works.

Yes you can edit protected saves with a hexeditor. I did this with my game saves to back them up properly. There is a guide on the forums here to help. I am sitting at the post on my Droid X and not at my PC to find the exact link right now but I'm sure you can find it. If not I will come check back later and post the link.

you have to sign in to psn with the same account you transfered the save from on the new ps3. Then you will be able to transfer it. if you can´t acess psn you have to do the method above this post!

Hey guys thanks for all the responses. I might be thick headed - I still don't understand how I'm supposed to copy the save thats on my ps3 to the other one. I don't think I can jb this one as it's on FW 3.5 (unless I'm mistaken and you can jb it and still run an ftp program on it.) Is signing on to psn the only way and then sending it? I havent been on psn since I originally jb'd my ps3 (pre-gt5).

I just saved my GT5 save from my legit slim ps3 and copied it to a USB drive. Then installed GT5 on my JB console and copied the legit save over. It worked flawlessly. Also I have the same PSN ID on both machines. I think that is the trick.

Update. I spoke to soon. It looks like we the 1.05 update to work on the JB console in order to load the legit saved file..

Awesome I was wondering if there a way to get my game save over from my slim to my fat. Thank god my fat ps3 still has my main account on it.
