Bruteforce save data noob here - I just can't get it working. Seems to corrupt all my saves.
Ive looked at a ton of tuts and it looks like I'm doing everything right.
Running the latest version of bruteforce.
I've set my console and user Id under global settings. Then browsed to the save game, decrypt pdf - all files, cheats - apply, then encrypt pfd - all files.
I copy it back to the PS3 and I get the data is corrupt.
What am I missing
need to update sfo with account and game settings then do what i been doing. if you dont set ur sfo as template then your just modding someone else.save.
After trying for 2 days I eventually gave up. Had to use a previous save. Couldnt get it working
When it asks you if you have your console id and user id just cancel that then it will ask if you have an SFO file. Hit yes then browse to a save file on your flash drive you copied from your PS3 and it should be good to go. Afterwards make sure you change the SAVEDATA directory to where it is which is usually in the PS3 directory of the flashdrive.
No such luck - tried setting it up again, still getting the corrupt error. I tried just using the sfo file.

Update: Finally fixed!!! Found this obscure post on youtube:
Bah, OK I have figured out what was wrong.
Apperently Bruteforce was using a wrong key to decrypt/encrypt it.
It kept using :0C63BC5EFFF54D6BCB5A5C72C2804*D6B, which is wrong for me.
So I deleted :
; "Final Fantasy XIIIŽ"
From the game.conf and only left the entry with the other key:
9026FD2E565A74ECE728ED2BE0111D*51 and now it works

I'm having this same problem with uncharted 3 save data, (I was able to do it without any errors on resident evil 5 save data) but not with the save data for uncharted 3. I'm going to try your method and brute force the key again. What i'm thinking it's maybe uncharted 3 uses the hash disc key, but not sure....
