Can anyone confirm this method also works for trophy data? I won't be able to confirm until tonight after work...I will update the tutorial if so!
There is no benefit with locked saves.

Unlocked saves are win because you can transfer them freely. Throw them on a flash drive, PC, another PS3, wherever. Makes sense to have all saves this way considering the amount of time it can take to complete certain games.
I'm like crasy waiting to get working trophys from one console to the other without needing to sync online, Any of you guys managed to do it?
Going to try tonight, it *should* work as the file structure is the same and I believe the files work in concert with each other like protected saves. Anyone that can test early though, please do!
It seems it the trophies are locked to one single userID. While I did manage to transfer my locked Heavy Rain gamesave to my new bigger HD, all trophies were lost in the process.
If anyone is interested, setting attributes to transfer via usb or transfering save files per FTP always resulted in various errors, so I ended up backing up and overwriting the whole dev_HDD0 content from the old drive. Upon startup, the PS3 rebuilt the file structure, then Heavy rain would quit abrubtly complaining about not being able to open the trophy information. opening the trophies from the XMB showed a progress bar, then an empty trophy list. The game would then start, but still without a functional save. On the next reboot, the console then magically said it had found savegames not assigned to a valid profile, created one for them, and I could finally go on playing. Hope this helps someone.
tried it with Soul Calibur 4 savegame, since it's locked, but the file give me Atribute "0" ... any suggestions ???
Did you follow the guide in the first post? I did not have to touch the SFO files at all. I just made 3 brand new save files on my PS3 to match the 3 saves I needed to transfer. I then used Filezilla to ftp the PARAM.PFD, USR-DATA, SYSDAT, AND CNTDAT files in to the new saves I made.

Ok, so if i replace those 2 .dat files with the ones from another PS3, i will get ALL the trophies from the original PS3?
That's what i'm trying to do
I think you would need to replace those in conjunction with the .dat and PARAM.PFD in each trophy folder. That might work and that method might allow you to bring over your trophies when upgrading your hdd if you cant sync anymore due to jailbreak Can someone confirm this?
