I AM NOT SURE IF ALL THESE STEPS IF ANY ARE REQUIRED PLEASE EXPERIMENT. BUT THIS WORKED FINE FOR ME
    Prerequisites
    A PKG file
    A Hex editor
    These files
    FTP server on PS3
    FTP client on PC

Firstly create a new folder and call it a name with 8 numbers in it, I did "00000006" (unsure if you can put any numbers in)
Then put the 3 files that you downloaded and the PKG file

Open D0 in your favourite Hex editor

    Save it and open D1

Save both of them and close the Hex editor

Your PKG file should be on your HDD ready to install

I guess so. But it doesn't guarantee it will install, if it works on a USB it should work with this method

This method will only work on debug packages as the retail ones are encrypted.

This is nice info but is really borderline piracy talk here. I mean think about it, you're basically telling people how to put debug (not stuff they own) packages on their hacked consoles

aka theft of Sony proprietary code

At least you didn't link to that site with all the debug links

Its up to people what they do with it, they is talk of backup loaders here that can be used for piracy

if this only works with debug packages... whats the purpose? debug packages can be installed just fine anyway with usb using a jailbroken console.
PIC based jailbreakers please visit my thread below and please READ. I have spent a few hours now trying to explain everythign as best I can here. You will also find my latest HEX releases there as well.

Not really! Like he said, backup loaders are discussed here in the appropriate sections and this is no different.
