[Request] Silent Hill Homecoming
[Request] Silent Hill Homecoming –

Maybe its just me but this game is extremely hard. I have scoured the internet for any mods on this game. What I have found is a trainer for the PC version but that obviously wont work. I went rooting around in the folders and found a txt file with a lot of things in it. I changed some values that pertained to infinite ammo and max health. It didn't change anything, oddly enough changing that stuff didn't even make the game black screen or anything so maybe that txt file has nothing to do with it? Any help would be appreciated. If needed I can make those files available for anyone willing to try.

hmm I'd love to get codes for this too of some kind. I get my ass kicked and Im only in the beginning of the game. I didnt see a difficulty either...I've died about 15 times already. Alot of it is my fault since I only played the first two Silent Hill games and I know over the years they changed the battle system maybe thats why I suck? I don't know. I didnt play the 3rd or 4th game so I am not familiar with the newer fight system if they even used the recent ones. I think this is suppose to be a new fight system. But ya I got my ass handed to me by the very first dogs that go after you...one killed me in 3 hits.

Yeah 1 and 2 are my faves, played 3 and 4 they are also good,
but origins and homecoming ehhhhhhh
I dunno, whilst I enjoyed them, it felt they were trying to re-create the movie in some ways, (artistically anyway)

Thanks for the save file. Does come with unlimited ammo? I'm more or less just interested in the story I really hate getting frustrated by a games difficulty. Sadly this game is so old it seems no one really cares about it anymore.
Sadly the version I have is the BLES00460 and I cant find any decent saves for that "version" Online.

Yeah its the fact that you have to have that dodge button down pat, trouble is I suck at timing.

A save file isn't going to help. lol And since I don't want to start over I am not gonna do that. That and I don't know which region that is. I am playing the US version I think...I don't know. I lost the file where I wrote down all the versions of games I had backed up. Either way ya I suck at the timing well....that pipe they give you....is totally pointless. Its so goddamn slow, in fact its the reason I kept dying. I was trying to practice with it with one of those blasted dogs and nope...didn't matter how fast I moved around the dog still killed me. The pipe shouldn't even be in the game at all, its pretty much like putting a bullseye on you that says "just kill me"

Don't forget that part of Silent Hill is feeling threatened and running away from things so don't feel you have to kill everything

Yeah, but it isn't only your timing, it's also the fact that the dodging/counterattack system is badly implemented and unfair

If I dont kill everything it just bugs the crap out of me, I need to check every nook and crany for any possible items. Im old school in that sense I suppose.

Where in the game is this text file? I went to look at it but I can only see the key bindings one and the loadingscreen one.
