BTW, you also need to solder but it's only one switch.![]()

Only after we take a bunch of your money, then only later tell you that you need to solder and purchase a PIC programmer to flash.
What a sham. Too bad this is the norm in the hacking community.
I do agree with ya! Patrick had offered to send me a sample to review. Once I found out about the extra work needed I've decided otherwise. Too many other options with less work.
I do think their initial posting of features was mis-leading to consumers. I just hope they accept consumers wanting to cancel their orders since the updated news about the PIC programmer and soldering involved.![]()

P3Free is just like the device that is on front page news as a 'buyer beware product!'
AND another newer cheaper design using the PIC micro-controllerhttp://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66224 (Buyer Beware: PS3Break's are NOT the same!)making the end-user stuck in having to buy more hardware and do some soldering if he wishes to update the device.
Seems like everyone got taken for a ride on this one. You will need to solder and have a pic progrAmmer to update this pos. Buyer beware!

yea, i know it was posted because I'm the one who started to bring it to everyone's attention. Since the mods here decided to allow an entirely new section of the forum to this POS I wanted people who came in here to see my topic without having to be baited and switched by that clown Patrick and the whole P3free community.
At least he having the guts to mention it, and give options to the users, and explain the problem.
Look at this thread:

The sad ps3break owners, have nothing, they order a ATMEL upgradeable board, and get send a cheap PIC with no working button, and no bootloader.
They are worse off, no support, no one to message or talk to.
