PIC FPC USB Programmer
Since I am having a difficult time finding a serial port I can use to hard-flash my P3Free F version and noticed that the instructions says to not use a an USB-to-Serial adapter, I was wondering if there is a PIC FPC USB programmer available that we can use?
I have found the Nero Dual Programmer which is an USB programmer with a FPC port, but it was made for the D2Sun key so I do not know if we can make the current applications support it to hard-flash a normal PIC instead of the Actel used on the D2Sun. Anyone know if the current applications could be modified to work with the Nero Dual Programmer or aren't the specifications for it out which would require reverse engineering to make it work?
Why don't you purchase a serial port adapter and connect it to your computer. Something like this: http://www.softio.com/ic0659kb_large.jpg
i'm going to either have to buy a card like that one above or if the PICPgm Programmer is available for Linux i would be good with that. my only computer with a serial port is a Linux box. unfortunately Patrick has not responded to my question as to whether the program is going to become available for Linux users.
i'm hoping the support is what i have been led to believe. :chinscrat
it can support linux, i have reply your other topic already.
