P3FREE doesnt work

FYI: the new F1/2 version doesn't lid up anymore! it does work but there are no LED lights!

like ive said F0 version. both leds act as i would expect them too for working expect the green led only blinks then the red goes back to flashing and repeats the cycle rather than sticking with only green on.

and you checked the ps3 menu? forget about the LED's...

I have a fat EU 60GB with PS2 AK (memorycardreader and 4xUSB) and it is working. if I mess up on startup then a message "unknown usb device" is popping up three times.

strange thing is that you still have the old version - ordered mine 09.21. and got the new version, a mate of mine even got the new F2 version yesterday - so why would you still get an old p3free?

of course. backup loader installed with psgroove wont boot nor ftp. no option to install pkg files simple not working. mine got held up in shipping for a tad..

the F1 firmware don't let LED turn on when working (for the customs reason)

if you get the F1 p3free, you can update it to the F2 firmware, it's very easy,check here:
http://psx-scene.com/forums/showthread.php?t=67044 (The guide for how to upgrade your P3FREE to the new firmware)

and again, if you can see one "USB Hub" device in your hardware manager, it mean the p3free is work 100%, you just need check other issue, and follow the user guide.

yeh doesnt show it up. was my mistake before on it sayin the hub was there (was internal pc one i noticed later) only comes up as unknown device. is f0

if so, then you just need download the software to upgrade it to "F2" in 1 minute.

and how am i expected to do this?? this was ment to be usb upgradable and plug and play. can live with the usb till replacement arrives but dont really like getting a dud stick. only programmer i got with same port as one on p3free is nero dual programmer (which i hav for n64 myth cart programming and only has exe packd updates, no software to select hex and such). as ive been asking as it is an ic2005 product, can i use this programmer and wheres the dam software to run it.

do hav william programmer. but not about to desolder a chip, reflash solder back in a device i brought as new(plug and play) that is faulty......

NDP programmer can't burn the p3free kit, it's different totally.

seems you need re-program the p3free code, you need fine one programmer that come with the ICSP port, or wait our p3free programmer.
