P3FREE doesnt work

I just recieved my p3free from ic2005 today and have to say im very disappointed. it simply doesnt work. brought it believing was usb upgradable. not but doesnt matter as i hav pic programmer. i just want it to work. its being tested on a fat 60gb ps3 with 3.41 on it and the backup manager already installed thanks to psgroove. but this p3free just sits there with both lights blinking... booted around 10times faild every boot.

wats goin on here??

How are you trying to get the p3free to work? What letter does it say on the side of your p3free "F" or "F1" or "F2"

standard way. turn off ps3 via switch. wait till standby light off then plug in p3free, turn switch on. reset followed by eject quickly. flashes red for tad then between green n red.

says v2.0++ printed and 'F' in pen so figure F0?

also this a fat ps3 with the memory card reader n 4 usb ports on the front of it... did note the fat ps3 in ur p3free pics is one with only 2 usb ports at front possible issue from theses being on the usb bus??? isnt a problem with groove and figured all bassed round groove so probly wnt be but might aswell note it.

Hmm, im not sure maybe you did get a defective p3free. This is strange because people on this forum have had nothing but good reviews of p3free, minus first batch not being "upgradeable" via usb. As for why it is not working you will have to talk to retailer (ic2005) or patrick about that. However since you did order from ic2005 and received version "F" you must pm Patrick with your order number and either option #1 or #2. To learn what the choices are since you did get non usb upgradeable, go to forum I posted below and look over the first post carefully and read what to do from there. Hope this helps somewhat, sorry I couldn't help more with p3free not functioning.

will do. it does do a usb hub deviece load still well connected to pc... so no idea what is the problem as psgroove works np on this ps3.

sorry to say after checking the usb list in device manager it only comes up as unkown usb device .the hub was the internal pc one i was connecting it to... bad flash??

If you have a Pic Proogrammer could you try reflashing it?
There is also a DIY option to make it USB upgradeable.

have considerd that but if i open it i break the sticker and stuff my warrenty... not about to do that on a faulty product without first being instructed by supplier to try before returning.

do own a nero dual programmer that i got for a n64 myth card but wat software to use with it?? hav pm patrick asking and waiting reply.
