By the away, now your 1st post is well organized, you made a great job, itīs all so clear.
Another thing i want to ask, wich the best payload?
v4b or PL3 ? functions and compatibility?
Hi all, Im trying to hard flash my P3Free following the instructions on the first page of this thread... but at the end of programming the hex file I am getting "verify errors".
I am using the hex file -- P3FREE_V2.0_PIC Firmware [F2,NOT NEED BD TO BOOT] for PIC18F4550 @ 12Mhz_USB Upgradeable.hex --
The PICPgm seems to be detecting everything ok.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?
beside the verify errors, does it works or run into problems?
after that F2 firmware you anyhow need to flash update again to latest hexes.
try that step, if no issues with usb update then good to go and forget about the verify error. only thing you want from that step is getting a working bootloader so you can do usb/softflash new hexes.
I have tried the soft flash update but when I run the Microchip USB HID Bootloader it does not detect the device? I have installed Microsoft .Net Framework V4.0 and Microsoft VC++ 2010 (x86) programs aswell.
Is there something else I need to do for it to be detected by the Bootloader program?
edit: I tested it once with my PS3 and BM v1 and BM gave me an error msg. Also when I plug the P3Free into the USB port I initially received a msg from windows saying the new hardware was installed and then a couple of seconds later I get the USB Device not recognized msg "device malfunctioned windows does not recognize..."
hey m8,when you put the p3free into ur usb slot on pc did u press the reset button on the p3free between the two leds?,when you press that button that message about not recognised should disappear, then when you load up hid bootloader it should say device connected,i had same prob when hardflashing my p3free,got same verifying errors but it still worked no problem, just flashed the appropriate hex and i was set to go again:D
just got my p3 stuff today :)
expect future updates to be fully compatible with the device (likely both led support)
once i get comfortable with the device and figure everything out atleast.
thanks for the credits on my hexes :)
P3Free users, enjoy my first release for this device :)
iLLNESS P3Free Hexes
1.0b to come later tonight, but its dinner time now.
please feel free to discuss LED output possibilities. red seems good for activity, and green seems good for jailbreak success. if you think it should be setup another way please let me know the reason and ill weight the idea :)
