Just Received My P3FREE

It took 4 days to arrive in New York from Hong Kong.I had already installed Backup Manager and PS3 FTP Installer earlier using my Dingoo.I can play the games I already had installed using the Backup Manager.The files that PS3Free supplied (backup manager and FTP) are the same files I already installed for my dingoo(as I attempted to install the backup manager it said it was already installed).
The PSFree also includes a long ribbon which plugs into the front of the unit.I guess the other end will plug into the pic programmer for updates(pic programmer not included).I'm looking around for a pic programmer and I see them for around $20 or as cheap as $10,but I'm not sure which ones are compatible.Some plug right into usb,others don't.
Like the PSJailbreak,a red light flashes as the PS3 boots up,and if you turned it on correctly a green light will flash.
The enclosed purchase invoice is labeled "PC Debug Kit".I guess to make it easier to go through customs.
Just so there is no confusion,the PSFree IS "Plug & Play" right out of the box.You will need to install "Backup Manager" using a seperate usb(alongside the PSFree).BUT if there are any updates to the PSFree you will need a "Pic Programmer".

That's the issue everybody has and you also need to solder one switch for future updates. This wasn't mentioned in early features for this clone. People that bought have a very valid right to be upset here. This is how the business goes though with cloning devices. :rolleyes::crazy:

They have them in stock at IC2005.com and Lightake.

Got mine as well. Delivery time and handling was first rate. Nicely processed indeed. If only the product was up to scratch this would have been a pretty damn fine transaction.

Now to just wait on the updatable version from them to replace this rushed effort.

same here! :)

I got mine and took a week. It is plug and play, and easy to install and operate.
But the only draw back is that I just found out that you can't upgrade it if you don't have a programmer. Other than that, it is a pretty nice device. Just hope they can resolve the upgrading dilemma. Patrick please resolve this. Thanks

I don't know much about this PSFree, but I wonder why they wouldn't just make a flashing cable similar to the M3i Zero for DSi.
That is the way one flashes the cart. You would think its not too hard to do and sell as one unit.
