Just got my p3Free but can't install Hermes 4b

I want to softflash iLLNESS Hermes v4b onto my p3free, but when I opened up HIDBootloader 2.6b, attach the dongle via USB to my computer and press the reset button, the program still wouldn't recognize the device

Is there something wrong with my p3free?
btw, it has a "2+" firmware, I think

it has a button between the 2 leds, no switches

I updated my P3Free and almost for got to do this.
Updated with no issues at all afterwards.

I don't have a programmer
I've installed the .net frameworks and vc++ already.
I'll try reinstalling them again.

The HIDBootloader runs on my computer, just can't detect my P3FREE

does it say f, f1, f1, or f0...

no Fs, just a "2+" next to the barcode

My computer recognizes the dongle as a generic usb device when I plug it in. When I press the reset button, my computer doesn't recognize it anymore and has problems installing driver
