Is your Modnation Racers stable? Game version, payload, loader (discless or not)?
I've had a lot of trouble using Modnation Racers on my jailbroken PS3 Slim.
I have tried backing it up from the UK version bundled with my PS3 (and unofficially I have also tried downloading a version to see if it played better, but its the same, so I deleted that again).
PS3 Slim at 3.41
Jailbroken with iPod Touch - primarily I've used PL3 versions. I have only tried Hermes v4b once, but that didn't seem to work for me (backup managers didn't work properly to "emulate" the desired game disc but kept showing the actual bluray disc in the drive.
Modnation Racers install fine using Gaia manager (1.04.1 and also 1.03 tested previously). I can typically play the game at version 1.00, but sometimes at random times it crashes/freezes and I have to do a hard reset.
Some days ago I tried reinstalling it, and I could load it up and drive around in Modspot at 1.00, at 1.02, 1.03 and 1.04. I never got to test 1.05 that night before going to sleep. The next morning I tried starting the game at 1.04, which booted fine the night before, but then it just froze at the loading circle.
I just reinstalled it again. I played the introductory race and was later sent to Modspot. It idled there while I was surfing, and when I wanted to race, it had frozen again.
By the way, I have deleted save data and user created contents.
What are your experiences? Have any of you experienced problems with the Eur version or maybe the US version, which you have fixed?
What are your experiences regarding the payload? are you using Hermes v4b, or maybe PL3? If PL3 which specific version then? no-unauth-syscall, default 3.41, 3.41 with PSN + 3.50 spoof?
Are you using Gaia? Are you playing discless or do you use a random BD to play it with disc?
Can you update it to 1.05 (or maybe even 1.06) just by accepting the game patches at game boot?
I am really getting tired of this unstable game. Sometimes I can race around a lot, and sometimes I barely get to play a single race.
