For example I have a 1 gb external with three partitions 500 250 250. Will bm see all three assuming they're fat32 or would I need to merge them all?

all it does is simply look for the Gamez folder so chances are it will jst find which 1 game is on.
I cant confirm this but i think i might be right

I created 3 partitions on my external to simulate what you have. It seemed to detect which partition had the GAMEZ folder no matter which one it was. I put it on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and the backup got detected almost immediately each time. I set one partition as NTFS and it didn't seem to bother Backup Manager as it still detected the game on each of the fat32 partition. I'm not sure if you put a GAMEZ folder on all 3 fat32 partitions, if it will show them all in Backup Manager, but I don't see why not. I will put a different game on each partition and see if it comes up.
The only question I have is if you rip a game, will it automatically part the game to the 1st partition? (Put it on whichever drive letter is first?) And, once the 1st partition is full, will you get a FWRITE failure and be shown out of space, or will it automatically go to the next partition? Curious question although I'm not entirely sure why one would need two separate partitions with PS3 Backups, but someone will have a reason too. I'll look into it a little more.
But, if you have one partition with say a weekly backup off your PC, and a separate fat32 partition for your ps3 rips, you shouldn't encounter any issues.
