thanks for the help, but i cant seem to find the answer for my Droid X. Ive already downloaded the files needed, but i just need to get in service mode and cant seem to find any DIY or how to use my Droid X(if possible)
I'm waiting for the ultimate CFW, an uber stable one without crashes and with all the possible features (if the Cobra list isn't a scam, there are still a lot of things left to implement, and someone might be able to get the 3.60 keys just like Mathieulh did).
PS3 CFWs are really fragmented now (just like the PSP ones, after years of M33 and GEN dominance), and aren't very well documented. I only know that Waninkoko v1 is crap. I don't know which one is better and more stable: KaKaRoTo's, Geohot's, flukes1's, Wutarza's, Waninkoko v2, Kmeaw's (seems to be the most popular one), Naima's, Hermes' (only 3.41), Rebug (and which one), PS3MFW's.
Right now I'm planning to switch to a PS3MFW cooked one, but sounds to be a little bit complicated (depending on various script languages instead using simple C++ or something), and V0.1 had the USB problem, V0.2 fixed it, but right after releasing it they promised V0.3, now I'm waiting for that one.
I hope, sooner or later somebody will compare them, list their features, write a more detailed PS3MFW documentation, and we will clearly see which one will be the winner. Or someone will come out with the ultimate one which will become a standard.
Of course, I know it's easy to change from one to another through the Recovery Menu (downgrading is harder), I simply thought CFW's won't be as fragmented as they are, and advantages over each other will be clearer really soon (I mean around last November, when CFWs popped up).

If you want to use your system to it's "current" fullest capabilities, it is better to stay on 3.41. Unless you want to only play games, or use/abuse PSN, then 3.55 is a must.
We should be getting a 3.60 hack anywhere from here to 4 months is my guess, given the history of the PS3. No geohot changes things though, meaning it could be more like 8 months to a year. Hopefully the rest of the devs get there shit in gear, and figure out how to find their own mtldr keys, then take the place, and CFW 3.60.

3.55 is headed the same direction as 3.41. we just saw the release of a 3.60 game. and i believe 3.56 games still need to be modded for 3.55. im of the opinion that, like another said, if its not broke, dont fix it. even when someone finally releases 3.60 keys i will likely stay with 3.41. at that point it would really be pointless to update to kmeaw. i used kmeaw right when it came out, it was extremely glitchy and crashed constantly. i know they fixed the problems but when i donwgraded back to 341 god it was a mess. i had to reinstall all my game data cuz it was corrupt or somethin. i dont remember specifics but it was a hassle. ill stick w hermes til 3.55 offers something i absolutely have to have.
I have no idea why that is relevant and it almost seems like you are being condescending with that last sentence. I'm gonna polity ask you not to troll in my topic. Thanks.
Also I see where you guys are coming from with the dongles, and plus third part support. I can also understand the discless feature but in my opinion I believe that if your laser is gonna die, it's gonna die. not using some games with a disc won't prolong it long enough to justify it. But to each his own I guess.
Also on the stability part, I haven't had a single crash or freeze with 3.55 Kamew but I guess your mileage will vary.
preatorian, i dont think there was any dispute: the first iteration of kmeaw was very glitchy. atleast for the phat 256nand units. i remember clearly. that said, they have worked out all the bugs now, i am fully aware of that. i would def have upgraded back to kmeaw had i any need for psn at the time. thats another reason i forgot to mention, personally, ive never really used or needed psn. but, ive already weighed in. just wanted to clear up my statement
